Where does our e-Waste go?
European Parliament approved new rules to cut the waste of discarded items such as fridges, TVs, and phones. Stricter collection and recycling targets should be phased in by 2019 for most Member States. What happens with the thrown away computers, old phones and other home appliances? Recycling raw materials is the most effective solution to the growing e-waste problem as most electronic devices contain a variety of materials, including metals that can be recovered for future uses. THE LONG ROAD
Almost 20 years since the collapse of the old Yugoslavia, the time has finally come for the ultimate Balkan road movie…
Two writers, the Croat Miljenko Jergović and the Serb Marko Vidojkovic, share the driving in a Yugo, the ultimate symbol of their common past, and drive it from one end to the other of the road once known as the "Highway of Brotherhood and Unity". The Long Road had its television premiere on RTS, Serbia's public network, on November 18, 2010. The next TV television broadcast took place on BHT (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on December 1st, 21:00.
