Interview with Philippe Maystadt, President of EIB
Philippe Maystadt confirms that, by the end of April 2009, the European Investment Bank will have released about 8.5 Billion Euros to support Eastern European economies. This aid package mainly aims at supporting the loans and guarantee systems for the small and medium-sized enterprises of the region. President Maystadt points out that the EIB relief financing concerns candidate as well as potential candidate Balkan Countries and has already started disseminating.
