When meeting with EU enlargement Commissionner Olli Rehn on Monday, Serbian deputy PM Đjelić introduced a request for a 120 Million pre-accession fund in order to minimize the financial crisis aftermath on the country. Financial issues were at the heart of dicussions as Serbia is risking a 6% GDP deficit, according to IMF estimates, but «we will not allow it to happen» says Đjelić. Balkan countries should not be left alone in this time of crisis, hence the Serbian call for European solidarity.
