A US envoy for BiH?
The US House of representative wants to appoint a US envoy to BiH and VP Biden is touring Sarajevo, Belgrade and Pristina for his second official trip. Is there a rising competition between the US and the EU over leadership in the region? For Sabine Freizer, if Biden's visit is definitely a positive sign from the Obama administration, this sudden "euphoria over the Western Balkans" should not be mistaken for a US urge for leadership but rather question EU's credibility in paving the way for the European integration of candidate and potential candidate countries.
