Olli Rehn discusses Western Balkans' state of play at the EP

EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn was in the European Parliament for an "exchange of views" with the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee.

On Montenegro, "the Commission may be able to start preparing its opening of negociations in a few months". On Albania, "the Commission is ready to prepare an opinion on its membership application once the EU Council demands it".

4/ Olli Rehn on the state of play in Macedonia: "There are realistic chances that Macedonia meets the conditions for opening the negociations".
 
5/ Olli Rehn on the state of play of the Croatia/ Slovenia border dispute: "There is a better atmosphere between the Croatian and Slovenian leaderships than before".
