Doing Business in the Western Balkans

The World Bank just released its new report on the ease to do business in 183 countries. The regulatory environment for businesses can indeed have a critical influence on how well firms cope with the crisis and are able to seize opportunities when recovery begins. What are the rankings of the various Western Balkans economies and how are they evolving through these difficult times? While Macedonia achieved to be amongst the top ten reformers around the world (making the jump from rank 69 to 32), Albania, Croatia and Serbia have also considerably improved the ranks of their economies for the private sector.
