October 27 | Luxemburg Session of the Council of the European Union – External Relations - will take stock of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), in particular after a meeting held in Camp Butmir (Sarajevo) between joint EU-US teams and seven of the political party leaders of the country. The discussion will focus on progress achieved to date by BiH regarding this recent joint EU/US initiative aimed at supporting its integration into the Euro-Atlantic community, whilst recognizing the need for the country to reform in a number of areas, particularly in view of the next meeting of the Peace Implementation Council, on 18 November. The Presidency will hold a press conference at the end of the session +/- 13.00.

Sarajevo Conference on Higher Education - Building Capacity for Change in Western Balkans. Organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, in cooperation with the University of Novi Sad, the University of Sarajevo and the University of Zagreb. The aim of the Conference is to support institutional reform in the Western Balkans by sharing the experience of higher education sector within the region and beyond, and to explore possibilities for the acceleration of the convergence of the region towards European Higher Education Area and EU policy in higher education through a number of EU platforms.
