European Parliament Plenary Session: Council and Commission statements followed by debate vote on the 2010 progress report on Macedonia. The report commends the country for the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the EU but "regrets" that the Council has not taken a decision on the opening of accession negotiations. It expresses concern about the growing inter-ethnic tensions in the country, the lack of political dialogue and media freedom.

European Commission President Jose Manuel BARROSO and Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan FÜLE will be on an official visit to the region.

5th EP-Serbia Inter-parliamentary Meeting: MEPs and members of the Serbian parliament will debate, among other things, the ongoing dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, the functioning of the judiciary in Serbia, and the implementation of the 2006 Constitution. Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan FÜLE will attend, and a press point with co-chairs Eduard KUKAN (EPP, SK) and László VARGA, Chairman of the Committee on European Integration in Serbia, is planned for 12:30 on 19 April, just outside the meeting room (ASP 5E2).

Commissioner Štefan FÜLE participates in the Inter-Governmental Conference and the Stabilisation and Association Council with Croatia.

April 20 | Sarajevo

Second Conference on Road Infrastructure Safety Management. The event is to be co-organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretariat, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) of BiH.
