The European Parliament gathered in plenary session will decide whether to approve the EU’s association agreement with Serbia based on the report by Jelko KACIN (ALDE, SI) and the Council and Commission statements, and will also vote on the wider issues of the country’s progress towards EU integration (debate and vote).

Winter plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe: Report on illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo by Dick Marty (Switzerland, ALDE) is to be discussed followed by a vote on a draft resolution (25/01). Highlights of the session include addresses by the President of Serbia Boris Tadic (26) and the Prime Minister of Albania Sali Berisha (27). A series of reports are also due to be discussed, covering the protection of witnesses as a cornerstone for justice (26), the obligation to co-operate in prosecuting war crimes (26), and reconciliation and political dialogue between the countries of the region (26).
